Hike to Børrestenen
Join a spectacular mountain hike from the village of Luster to Børesteinen – one of the most impressive viewpoints overlooking the Lustrafjord.
The trail follows a historic mountain path up to the old mountain farm at Berge, before continuing into steeper terrain up to nearly 1,000 meters above sea level.
This hike offers a steady and rewarding ascent, perfect for those looking for an active challenge in breathtaking Western Norwegian nature.
At the summit, you are rewarded with panoramic views of fjords and mountains that truly make the effort worthwhile. Please note that the area at the top can feel exposed, and children should be supervised at all times. East-facing slopes may still hold snow well into June.

Hike to Mountain farm
Discover Norway’s cultural heritage Experience the beauty of Dalsdalen on a scenic drive followed by a 30-minute walk to a historic mountain farm (seter) dating back to the 8th century. Enjoy a local lunch featuring freshly baked pastries, cider, and apple juice.
If desired, you can also add a BBQ evening. Please note that this requires an additional hour and costs 450 NOK per person.
Experience an authentic BBQ evening by the fjord in beautiful Luster, Sogn! When the weather allows, we prepare food together on our private beach. We grill delicious venison burgers from local hunters, served with vegetables and bread, and enjoy a relaxed evening with the fjord as a backdrop. Informal, authentic, and a perfect way to immerse yourself in Norwegian food culture surrounded by stunning nature.
Alternatives:
1 - Local apple juice and baked pastries from the local bakery.
2 - Lokal apple juice and freshly made baguette from the local bakery.
3 - Lokal apple juice and barbecue evening, only if the weather is good.

12:30 – Drive to the starting point at the mountain farm (seter)
13:00 – Arrival at the seter
13:00–14:00 – Stories and guided visit inside the seter, followed by a lunch experience with a taste of Sogn. If time allows, a short 30-minute hike from the seter to a mountain fishing lake
14:00–14:30 – Walk back to the starting point
14:30–15:00 – Drive back to the farm
